Welcome to the Technical Mexico Forum. My name is Pete and I have volunteered to be your moderator. I don't get any money for this so be nice to me when I screw up. I know quite a bit about Satellite TV and radio reception and internet connectivity here in Central Mexico. But I would never call myself an expert.

I've got four different types of Satellite receivers giving me probably 1000 channels (only 10 of which I regularly watch) and I connect to the internet both through broadband 802.11b technology and via an old fashioned telephone connection if I have to.

If you have technical advise or if you simply have a question, join us.

Brad.

You've got to tell me where here is Brad. The signal footprint drops off the farther south you go

You're farther south than us. You can get some of the channels from Dish and DirecTV. I'm told that Dish reaches farther south. But I don't think you're even going to get half of the channels you would get up North. Maybe someone else will have some more definitive information

The only English Language small dish system that works well that far south is the Canadian Small dish system, Star Choice.

Pete, I put this question on the General forum but maybe hssould have directed to you. I want to use Outlook as my mail manager but in order to get my mexconnect mail to come into that program I need the POP3 and SMPT server names. I am not a geek so maybe I am missing something here. Can you help me with this?
