What the cheapest way to Call USA?

Hi I was wondering if you some one would help.
Whats the cheapest way to call USA via a landline( not computer).
Are there any calling card or callback services?
Rates? and Contact Info( phone number & site) would be appreciated.

I think it depends upon where you call from. We see advertisements in the paper near Guadalajara suggesting that call back services cost between 16 and 23 cents per minutes. 16 for 800 #s and 23 for normal calls. I pay closer to 18 and 25 cents.

I sure hope someone out there knows an even better way to connect.

I use Alliance Callback. Mexico to USA is 18 cents/min. You can find rates and signup at:

Like Rolly, I also use Alliance. However, I thought their rates were 25 cents a minute. Perhaps their rates have gone down. I will have to check my phone bill with them.

There is also another service that I use called United World Telecom. They charge 24 cents a minute to call the States (except for 800 numbers, which they charge 25 cents a minute for). Their website address is www.uwtcallback.com.

Can these callback services be used from public pay phones in Mexico or do you have to have a private phone/number that you provide the callback co?

for the call receiver, is to call collect via payphone. The call will be processed by ZPDI, handed off to MCI, and charged to your LOCAL phone account as communication services at right around 8 bucks a minute. I paid $108 for a phone call, ONCE ! ooch, ouch.

I'm gonna cut paste my reply..you're really doing your research for Long Dist.

Well I use AmericaOneMD.com. I learned about it from my son attending UAG.
We have been with them for 2 years now.
It cost us 15 cents/min to call USA/Canada. They very Reliable and their customer service if very good. good folks.
