La Paz

I was wondering if anyone has any information on the Baja city of La Paz. I'm contemplating a move to Mexico and I've trying to find the right location. I've travelled through most of the northern states and down the coast, but for some reason I just love La Paz. Visiting the city and beign one of its residents are two things entirely. Has anyone lived there? Can anyone give me the low-down. Both positive and negative comments are welcome. Muchas garcias!

Sorry, but I realized that my above message was vague(and there were some mistakes in the grammer - just ignore those). Buying or renting seems relatively cheap. Has anyone rented or bought a home in the area recently? Does anyone on the board currently lived in La Paz or has anyone lived there in the past 10 years? If so, what are your impressions? How are the people? Has it gotten overrun by gringos, tourists, snowbirds, and spring-breakers? How is the crime? I've felt very safe in my travels in Mexico, which the exception of two places - TJ and Juarez. Farther into the country it was fine.<p>Well, there it is - a more expansive message. Sorry for the first post.
