I would imagine the way to do it would be to take the ferry from La Paz to the mainland (Mazatlan) then one of a gozillion first class buses to GDL. I'm sure every city on the Pacific coast has bus service to GDL.

I'm sure the ferry info is available online as well as the bus schedules.

It is more practical to fly. The cost difference will not be that great, and it could take a couple of days by bus. You would need to take a three hour bus ride to La Paz, then take the ferry, then take another bus. I think that the ferry ride is somewhat long and costly. Figure the bus as $5 per hour. If you want the adventure that is one thing, but from a practical standpoint, fly.

OK I'll Bite:

1. Take Autotransportes de Baja California bus to TIJUANA

2. Take the ELITE 36 seat bus from Tijuana to MAZATLAN

3. Take the TNS 48 seat (Transportes Norte de Sonora) bus to Mazatlan

Cost will be something like a hundred sixty eight US Dollars, give or take.

Twenty Four hours to TIJUANA and then Twenty eight and a half hours to MAZATLAN

He wants to go from Cabo to Guadalajara...and weird, I posted the route etc the day of his first post, but it never appeared. Oh well. So...you go from Cabo to Tijuana (24 hours, as he said), and then from Tijuana to Nogales and on down to Guadalajara. The Tijuana-Guadalajara run is approximately 32 hours, so 58 hours total. He can take the ELITE bus all the way to Guadalajara.
