This is KD7ION. Sorry you are not closer to Ajijic and Lake Chapala, where a bunch of us Hams from up North meet as often as once every Friday morning at the LCS. Although some of the guys have great setups, most of us simply use 2 meter units to communicate with each other line of site. For example I have a friend who lives in Jocotepec just 10 miles down the road.
Depending upon the time of day, it would cost me about 15 to 29 cents a minute to call him using TelMex
