says my nearly six year old daughter (where has the time gone????) , with a slight valley girl accent, " But now we are crossing into Tijuana, everyone forget English now!" I believe she is acclimating well.
My wife volunteers as a teaching assistant in the first grade class. The teacher speaks no Spanish so my wife helps the little "recent arrivals" communicate their needs and is learning English in exchange. All in all its working out well.
