One of the regular posters here was kind enough to send me the article in question. After reading it twice, I think that it was just someone's feebly attempt at dark humor. While in pretty poor taste, the vision of a seagull "Exploding" only seconds after ingesting a small amount of dry ice doesn't seem likely. I am not an engineer or an explosive expert, but the thought of a two inch piece of polish sausage containing enough dry ice to make a dog "Explode" seems highly unlikely. Jet propelled, maybe. Explode, no.
IMHO what we have here is the attempted birth of another Urban Legend.
