There is a possibilty that my husband may take a job in Puebla. Is there anyone on this list that could give us some ideas about what life if like there? I can find plenty of info about houses to rent in Monterrey, Guadalajra, etc. but not in Puebla. Anyone have any suggestions?
JC

If you cannot afford the high priced executive homes so often sought by international execs, they have in Puebla gated communities, with other middle class Mexican people living there. Guards at the gate 24 hours a day, with very low probability of crime in your home, yet still in contact with those around you. Rents start around $300/400 USD a month.
Of course, they also have the high priced gated communities.

"Visitor" your information could be legitimate, but for the past 7 mos I've EARNESTLY searched for these infamous middle-class gated neighborhoods through endless hours of driving (I live here and have made getting to know the city a past time). Please, please enlighten me with specific neighborhoods because for the life of me I've yet to run across such bargains!!

JC - My husband was transferred this past January to Tlaxcala, but our family lives in San Andres Cholula (outskirts of town in Puebla). What would you like to know? I can provide information on schools, neighborhoods (have a fantastic realtor source), the ONE english church service, language schools and/or tutors, banks, the butcher, the banker, the candlestick maker, etc. I'd also like to share some expat tips worth negotiating through your company. Write me personally if you like.
donna
