Mexican Citizenship

I am applying for Mexican Citizenship, my Mx attorney tells me that I need a letter of good conduct from the US Consulate. I wasn't aware of this requirement. Can someone who has gone through the process verify if this is true.

My memory says that this is sometimes required by various areas and sometimes not. If you Mx. Attorney is in the area in which you plan on finishing your visa work, he/she may know what is required there. YMMV

It's not a visa. It's citizenship. Very different.

That sounds surprising to me. Over two years ago, when I got my mex citizenship, I only had to worry about local and federal "no-antecedentes" certificates. Maybe it is different now...
