Medical insurance on tourist visa

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hi Folks. I'm on Medicare with a supplement. Worthless apparently in Mexico for the most part. Would like to return to Mexico this winter for a few months. Of course I have at least one pre existing condition, on pacemaker # 2 as an example. Any possible solution to getting temporary medical insurance while I am in Mexico? Thanks skyline.

I don’t have an answer for you but..... Since you stay will only be ‘a few months’, I suspect that any insurance for anything ‘serious’, with your preexisting conditions, would not kick in by the time you leave.

You may could consider getting a Medical Evacuation ‘policy’ that will transport you back home... at least once you are stabilized. SkyMed is one that will do just that and the policy is not outrageous.

Good luck.
