Just a short note to warn that those thieves that use something to spray or splat on your clothes and then accost you as they help you clean up are at work in Tonala, Jalisco. Got me last Fri going into a Walmart at 1:30 pm. I had forgotten about this ruse, and they got my wallet out of my pocket, removed all the credit and ATM cards an replaced my wallet without me feeling a thing. Maxed out cards within 2 hours at a different Walmart and 2 Farmacia Guadalajara locations before I could contact financial institutions. Left all identification in my wallet along with 25 dollars American, which was folded with other items.

Sorry you had that experience. I hope that I have heard this story enough that when it happens to me, I won't make the same mistake.

There is something to be said about not keeping all your marbles in the same place. I travel will a low cap credit card and a even lower debit card. If I need funding for either card, I transfer funds or pay the card down. My debit card to my major funds never leaves the house as I don't even use it.
