U.S. Plated car with a mexican license

I live in Baja and have a U.S. Plated car. I'm considering driving up north to Nevada to visit family. I only have a mexican license. I know about getting insurance, just want to know about a mexican license with a U.S. plated car. Thanks!

It is not a problem, but some traffic cop might want it to be a problem; so, just be sure to have your Mexican visa handy to confuse him further. Speaking only Spanish may also help. :)

Assuming that your US vehicle tags are not expired..... and you are there less than 1 year.

IF you get stopped, say to the cop "It's the same as if I were driving a US rental car in the US WITH a valid Mexican DL, right!?!". "That's legal, right?"
