Puerto Vallarta - looking for decent professionals

Can't Post | Private Reply
Can anyone recommend an honest and knowledgeable carpenter, plumber, electrician, mason (albanil) in Puerto Vallarta, La Marina area? We have been trying to fix our apartment, but most of the workers we found through "Mano a Mano" resulted quite useless, and we have to fix a lot of the damage.

WE are also looking for a good plumber and electrician. It's even tougher as we are 2 hours south of PV in Mayto, but we keep trying. Let us know if you get a good person and we will do the same for you.
Thanks and good luck,
Isabel

So much construction going on here, not too many spare professionals. Suggest you post here, many local residents here, you may get a better response. https://www.facebook.com/groups/VallartaAdvisor/

Thank you JRinPV and Isabel. It's unbelievable how some of them report for work: with no tools, and asking for money up front, to have a breakfast (or beer, or whatever). So far, we ended up with one of the doors installed diagonally, because the "professional" took wrong measurements. Another one forgot to connect drainage pipe leading from the washer, before installing tiles. He also stole our electric bill, and managed to obtain some loan using our address.

That's the reason to get recommendations from locals who had good work done. I know very few workers who know how to use the internet.
