Would love to know Mazatlan like Natives!

We're returning to vibrant Mazatlan and would love to hear from those who know it well. Where should we go outside of the town and what special places should we not miss? We're into nature, marine life, snorkeling and sailing, history, culture, arts and crafts, arquitecture, Mexican food and the wonderful people of Mexico.

Any suggestions about condo/apartment rentals are also much appreciated.

Muchisimas gracias!

For a number of years, a friend has been writing a Mazatlán-related blog. I'm sure you'll know much more about the city if you read what she's been writing.

I don't guarantee that you'll 'know Mazatlán like natives', though. I suspect that the native perspective on Mazatlán is different from the foreigner's. Here's the link: http://www.countdowntomexico.com/

Yes, do go to Nancy's blog referenced by Esperanza. I have lived in Mazatlan full time now for over ten years. It is a town that is many things to many people. If you want to stay with foreigners look at the Golden Zone or much of Centro Historico. If you want to live in the midst of the people, look in that great gray area the foreigners don't talk about between Cenro and Zona Dorada. That's where I live and wouldn't be anyplace else. The people here are the most friendly and helpful that I have found anywhere in Mexico.
