Given recent news of increased price of gasoline...and looting and lines
at the stations...

1. What's the price/litre of Magna?

2. Are there any major issues at the Pemex stations between
Laredo and San Miguel de Allende.

I think that the current price of Magna is 15 pesos per liter. That would be the equivalent of around $2.80/gallon US.

Although there was a good bit of 'unrest' at the first of the year (when the new prices and other inflationary pricing went into affect), I have not heard of 'any' big time problems (burning/looting Pemex stations, commadeering toll booths, etc) on that route.

I just returned to Mexico Wednesday. When I asked what Magna cost in Ajijic, several expats sitting at the same table said about 16 pesos. But I am not sure either.

Me I got a full tank of gas when the prices were still low immediately before I went north for 25 days.

The next gasoline price raise is scheduled for February 4.

I topped off my tank yesterday, thinking that the price increase was the First of February. I paid $16.52 per liter for Magna in Ajijic, Jalisco.

Price hikes have 'traditionally' been on the first Saturday of a month.
