Dual Citizenship

My wife has dual Mexican/Canadian citizenship. We are flying from Calgary to Guadalajara with a stopover in Houston. We are still confused about which passport she should use where. Can anyone straighten us out? Thanks.

She should show her Canadian passport as ID for leaving Canada.

She should show her Mexican passport as ID for entering Mexico.

Maybe 5 years ago I read that you should enter Mexico using your Mexican passport. And when your second citizenship is US that when entering the US, you should use your US passport
I presume, but do no know that should you be entering Canada that you would enter using your Canadian Passport.

But when there are 3 countries involved, I'm guessing that she should show the Canadian passport if required when passing through the US if needed and then Mexican when entering Mexico
Otherwise with US officials Canadian passport and when with Mexican officials, Mexican.

I hope that someone with more knowledge than I, can confirm this
Oops when writing this a person with much more knowledge than I already answered it.

Yes, that's what I have to do, use one of three passports, US, Mexican, or Polish, depending which country I am entering.
