INM Checkpoint Arco Norte

I was on the Arco Norte today. At the 57D interchange there was a big INM checkpoint. There were many official INM vehicles including a couple of paddy wagon buses with people inside.

Interesting! I assume there will be fewer Central Americans at the border for a few days.

I live in a small mountain village in the Central Highlands. When there was a major influx of illegals at Reynosa, we actually talked to people from Honduras passing through our village on the way to Reynosa. When they ran out of bus money, they stopped and pan handled, I guess. We gave them what I hope to be life-saving tips in the McAllen area. The coyotes take them north of town and tell them to go to the tower they can see in the distance, that it is only a short walk. It actually takes many hours and a lot of them die in that area.

So, I do suspect that intersection would see a lot of them.
