TIP Question

Can't Post | Private Reply
My wife and I have our RT cards and live in Michoacan. We have our US plated car (titled in my name) with the required TIP.

I have a Mexican national friend that I want to pay to run some errands for us using our car. Can anyone tell me if anyone (other then me or my wife) can legally drive our car?

Thanks,
Jeff

A Mexican national, or an expat with Residente Permanente, is prohibited from driving your US plated vehicle unless you, the importer, is present in the vehicle. I guess that shoots down your plan to have your Mexican friend run errands. Sorry for the bad news.
