The News seems to have ceased publication. Has anyone heard or read anything on this subject? I'm kind of missing it.

Do you mean the Mexico News Daily - http://mexiconewsdaily.com/ . They are up and running as of this morning.

The paper edition rather than the on-line edition? On-line is still there and paper will be disappearing everywhere as the cost of newsprint soars. Next to salaries, newsprint is the greatest cost to a newspaper.

A couple of days ago an article in mexiconewsdaily stated that Tlaquepaque had 5 million residents,I take anything I read there with a grain of salt.

You will notice on their web page that all the "news" is old. There is no facebook page there. If you go to Facebook and search for The News the only information on that page is from Wikipedia. The New is simply gone.
