Temporary Resident/Tourist

Can't Post | Private Reply
I presently have a temporary resident card. I no longer wish to pursue permanent residency, employment, etc. My future visits will simply be as a tourist and will never exceed 180 days.
If the temporary resident card expires while I am back in Canada, can I simply return to Mexico at a later date and use the regular tourist/visitor form they hand out on the flight?
Thank you for your assistance.

Don't know if this is still the case but my better half had issues when she failed to turn in her FM3 when she chose not to renew and go the Tourist Permit route. It was a matter that the Mexican Government considered the FM3 document their property upon expiration and had some provision to fine people still in possession.
