Find job in Playa del Carmen and area

Can't Post | Private Reply
I would like to move to Playa del Carmen, but is it possible to find a decent job when I am not actually there yet. I have a Busines degree and work experience in Marketing.
Does anyone have any ideas where to look?
thanks

Go on a short vacation, find the job, then head back home for the Visa

You would have to have a job offer before going to the nearest Mexican COnsulate to apply for a visa, etc.

The chances are very low. You know how people sometimes say finding a job is all about networking? Multiply that by 100 for Mexico, where personal contact and face-to-face relationships are an even stronger part of the culture than in English-speaking cultures, including the business culture.

There is lots of jobs in the area. Your best bet is to come down.

Look at the hotel web sites in the area. They might take resume's by email.

Try asking on playa.info web board. More localized information there.

Good luck

When you wish to take a job that a Mexican ciitizen is capable of performing, you must provide a trade in your home town where a Mexican citizen is given a free pass to be hired for a job that an American resident can perform!
