No gas at any stations and I they have any it's about a 3 hour wait.

Nothing on the net or real news of the reason, don't you love government control?

I just found this:
MEXICO CITY Mexico's state oil company says it is working to resupply gas stations in several states after days of shortages caused by an increase in fuel thefts from pipelines.
Petroleos Mexicanos said in a statement Thursday that its trucks are hauling fuel to stations 24 hours a day in an effort to stem shortages in the state of Nuevo Leon.
In statements earlier this week, Pemex blamed illegal taps of five different fuel pipelines for the shortages affecting several northern and western states. It said it had ordered additional gasoline imports to make up the difference.
The shortages affect major urban areas including Guadalajara, Monterrey and Saltillo.
In February, Pemex announced that it would no longer ship finished, usable gasoline by pipeline because of the thefts.
How could theft effect that many people all at once and that many gallons?.....I call it bs but why?

It's Mexico. It's what they do.

Well not a cover up per say but how do you have 20+ truck drivers busted stealing full tanks of gas? Seems a lot of people on the take and they only bust the drivers.......

Pete:
It costs approximately the same amount to keep the top half of your tank full as it does when having to add a half tank when you are empty. Pretty cheap "piece of mind"?

Are you sure chinagringo? I would double check if I were you. Well anyway the Pemex workers said they had heard that some areas were having trouble with gasoline supply, but that everything seemed OK lakeside. They added that they might have a problem for a day or three if everyone panicked and all came in the same day to try to get gas.

Oh and Chinagringo, actually I had to pay more, but I'm sure you understand why :)
