To the Jefe (or Jefa): What is a locked thread, and how , or why, does one lock(or unlock) one? Also, what is the significance of the exclamation in a yellow triangle? Personally, I much prefer the new forum presentation, primarily because it is so easy to scan the boards for new posts in older threads. Thanks, John

I lock a thread whenever the discussion has become non-productive or nonresponsive to the original post. Of course, anyone who wants to continue the discussion is free to start a new thread.

The icon with the yellow triangle with the exclamination mark is an option for moderators.

You mean people like me with a little too much Tequila ... asking about record album covers ... becomes unproductive to construction subjects. I couldn't agree more Wink

The locks are definitely a good idea. Some threads can become horribly confusing. Locks should probably be used more often on some of the other boards.
