MOVING TO PLAYA DEL CARMEN-ADVICE ON LONG TERM RENTAL

Can't Post | Private Reply
Greetings,

I will be leaving at the end of the month heading for Playa del Carmen. Just hoping someone can offer advice on the best way to find a long term rental. Recommend a great property manager? Reputable real estate agent? Online sites?

Or... should I just hit the ground and walk around on my own.

Some people advertise on craigs list: http://yucatan.en.craigslist.com.mx/search/vac

Others just put up temporary vinyl signs - with their phone numbers. You have to drive/walk/bike the neighborhoods to see the signs.

Hello StevoH,

We used Gabi at Playa Rentals http://www.playa-rentals.com/. She found us a great rental in Playacar Fase II. And, we did all our paperwork, deposit and everything from the U.S.

We currently live in Puerto Aventuras full time as owners, but renting long-term was a great way for us to really get a feel for QRoo, and decide where we wanted to buy.

This is slow season, so you should have a better chance of finding something you like.

Good luck with your search!
Thanks,
PuertoDISE
