Liability Insurance to Drive North With a Mexican Car

Can't Post | Private Reply
Can anyone recommend an insurance company the will underwrite 300k worth of liability insurance to take a car to Canada for more than the 28 days that is covered but Mexican insurance companies. All other parts of the policy will cover me for the period but for some reason the out of country liability only cover 28 days from the time you cross the border.

I assume you are talking about a Mexican-plated car covered by Mexican insurance, and that your Mexican insurance came with a 28-day, US$100,000 rider for travel in the US and Canada, correct? That was my situation, and I described all the details of obtaining US$300,000 liability for more than 28 days in this previous post: Insurance for Mex-plated cars driving to the US & Canada. Hope it helps.
