Riviera Nayarit & PV: info please re lodging, food, etc

Can't Post | Private Reply
I'll be going to Riviera Nayarit (Sayulita, San Pancho, Guayabitos, etc) and (briefly) Puerto Vallarta area Dec. 10-24.

I would greatly appreciate recommendations re: lodging, restaurants, beaches, shopping, etc.

(I am a resident of Chiapas, and have traveled Mexico extensively for 8+ years, but not to the above region).

thanks, in advance

We have always enjoyed staying at Playa Los Arcos in PV, at the south end of the malecon and in the restaurant zone of old town. They have several options, parking and are reasonably priced. It is an easy drive to the areas to the north that you will visit.

I really like Casa Blanca in Sayulita and agree Los Arcos in PV is central and great if you get ocean front. You can stay at Rosita for less and be on the Malecon with ocean front, El Rio about $60us on the Malecon no view. Tropicana is a good value, ocean, pool easy walk. Stay away from the courtyard style cheaper places as the noise will mae you crazy unless you stay out all night. Check out tripadvisor too.

Less touristy than Guaya, San Pancho, Sayultia and PV would be Mayto-Tehua Mixtle, and a lot less expensive. 350 pesos for a room with private bath at El Rinconcito where they have family style all you can eat fish on the frill with salad and rice for 100 pesos. 1 hour south on 200 to El Tuito and then 1 hour to the coast. Most beautiful unspoiled and undeveloped beach left in Mexico.
