Doesn't Día de Muertos fall on November 2?

Day of the Dead is a two-day celebration. The first day (Nov 1) honors departed children. The second, often considered the main day, honors adults.

November 2 is the Day of the Dead. the First is All Saints day..they are all dead anyways but techically the Day of the Dead is the Second. Ask any practicing Catholic.
In Chiapas the Celebrations start on the 31st of October with people decorating the graves , just anywhere in the country everyone was at the cemetary yesterday decorating the graves and making altars at home, atole etc..

Since moving to Mexico, I've been putting together an ofrenda in my house dedicated to my father who passed away a few years. It's a nice way to remember him and makes me feel a part of Mexico.

I like the altars I think it is a nic thing rememnber someone that way but I think the Japanese customs beats it. They have an altar to the dead faily mebers and the first spoonful of rice goes as an ofrenda every day.
