I'm sure I'll think of others, but right off the top of my flat head I'd add punto a punto, which helps you figure out how long a driving trip might take, offers a suggested route, and calculates toll costs along the way.

In my experience, it's not always completely accurate, but still a useful tool.

I'm super weary of using that site for any "off the beaten track" routes, after relying on it to show us how to get from Zacatecas to Real de Catorce. Word to the wise, you cannot get to Real de Catorce from Estacion Catorce. Unless maybe you take a burro and have a couple days for the trip. lol

I fixed the broken link to the Ley Aduanera Article 106 and added the SAT manual Sec. 17 reference for cars temporarily imported before June 11, 2011.

Just found that SAT has moved our cheese, again causing the old RFC inscription page link to fail.

- so, we added a new item to Useful Mexican Websites:
Need an RFC? (to meet the new Sept. 1, 2014 CURP and RFC requirements for buying or selling Mexican real estate)

If you have a CURP, then go to this SAT webpage for Official Instructions: … http://www.sat.gob.mx/...as/fichas_3_cff.aspx
You can then go towards your final SAT page destination: https://rfc.siat.sat.gob.mx/PTSC/RFC/menu/

or if that link is busted: go to this SAT webpage: https://siat.sat.gob.mx/PTSC/

In either case:
Select: “RFC” , ... then select “Inscripción” ... and then click “Con CURP“
All of that takes you to your final SAT page destination: https://rfc.siat.sat.gob.mx/PTSC/RFC/menu/
where you enter your data and get your RFC.
