For those who can't be there this year, Mexconnect has some wonderful photos of the Tall Ships from the 2010 regatta:

Hola, everyone! This is Roy Dudley "El Gringo Jalapeño" who has not been following this forum recently. Fortunately, Tony Burton gave my password again so I could be more active on MexConnect. I went to the Regatta about 4 years ago and it is very spectacular to say the least. Seeing these tall ships in the harbor, touring them and meeting there crews is a wonderful experience I would have loved doing again.
Well, I am back again to help answer questions about the Gulf of Mexico region. Remember the Central American games will b here in Xalapa and other parts of Veracruz state this coming November. Looking forward to seeing you here.
¡Que viva Xalapa y Veracruz!

Hola amigo, welcome to this forum! The June regatta only involved training ships from latinamerican countries. I took pictures when we were in Veracruz. Someday when you are over for a meal I can show you the pix I took. Thanks for the weekend meal invite, Carmen is feeling better, so yes we'll see you Sunday midday-ish. - Dan
