late arrival at BJX: where to stay?

My wife and I are considering a flight to Leon(BJX)
rather than to Mexico City as a starting point for exploring the Morelia/Patzcuaro area, but the flight doesn't get in until just past 11 pm. Any suggestions on a place to stay in Leon or Irapuato that might accomodate a midnight arrival, and would be close to a bus terminal for a trip to Morelia the next day?

How about Guanajuato? Leon is really out of your way and not all that interesting. Stay in the center and explore and enjoy the morning before you catch the bus to Morelia. The cab ride will take you about 25 minutes and cost around $24 US. I believe the bus to Morelia will take around three hours.
