Hacienda closing internal highway customs stations

Hacienda - Aduana, as a result of fiscal reforms (including the end of lower IVA in QR and the northern frontier) has announced that it closing the customs stations ("garitas") travelers encounter along the highways away from the actual border. According to press reports, of the 40 such posts, the 16 in QR are already shut or about to close.

So, that would include the big one at 20km S of Laredo on the way to Monterey? That would be nice, but can't imagine they'd close that after all the new construction there over the last few years including the huge "Darth Vader Death Ray Scanner" I got trapped in last year.
