Keep your eyes peeled...

I'll be working a long-term contract project in DF (commuting back and forth from my home and business in Mazatlan) and will be looking for a small apartment or independent cuarto where I can come and go as needed (and where an assistant can sometimes stay when I'm not there). Prefer not to live in a hotel, since I'm sometimes working very odd hours, don't know if I'll be in DF a week, two weeks or what at any one time, and have my eccentricities. Job site is Reforma (near the Angel), but I know my way around the city... lived there for years.

Needs to be relatively inexpensive.

Join the Facebook group 'Foreigners in the DF'. There are often good apartment leads posted.

I have had very good luck with Air BnB in other parts of North America. https://www.airbnb.com/s/Mexico-City--Mexico

Moments after reading your post, I saw an announcement that the UrbanDF app is planning to add a new service: ads for apartment and room rentals. So you might want to keep an eye on that.

I saw an announcement for this, too. It included a link (not the one you posted) that didn't work. Doesn't give much confidence.

You can also try http://www.vivanuncios.com.mx. They are terrific--we found our home through their website.

Casa Tarami http://casatarami.blogspot.mx/p/casa-tarami_08.html gets good reviews. (I have never been there.)

Vivanunicios was the first place I looked... but thought there might be options I hadn't considered. And it never hurts to have Plans Plans B, C, D,... X, though for once Plan A was the right one. Found what I was looking for. Actually, a bit better than I expected.
