Arropado

We have a friend who is going through a very difficult time. The other day he told me it felt really good to be arropado.

Can someone help me with this word, in this context?

When I look it up in my on-line dictionary, it says to "tuck in" or "dress someone". But in the context expressed, I took it to mean "cared for", "supported", "protected", "helped", etc.

Does that pretty much cover it? Or is there a better way to express it in English? Thanks.

Protected, defended, 'kept from feeling the cold'--i.e., his heart is warmed by your friendship.
