Boqueneta fish

Can't Post | Private Reply
There is an excellent tasting fish in the Mexican Carribbean that the locals call Boqueneta, (spelling??)
They say it is a plant eater so it has to be speared rather than caught with a baited hook.
Can anyone tell me what other names it might go by so I can look it up better?
Thanks
Stan

Boqueneta is my favourite eating fish here on Cozumel. I have never seen it available in the grocery stores, usually only found in the Municipal Market occasionally.

It has scales, so it is Kosher.
