what a way to start 2014 with these type of news in that small town...... this is simply crazy .. someone knocks on your door and attacks you and your wife and beats you to death.... simply horrific. and you have the forum that deletes these types of news.....
just like the poor lady years back that was house sitting at that lake community and the burglars found her in a home they thought was going to be empty... she was beat up close to death.... but no one talked about it and simply deleted the posts or warnings.....
there was another person that they tried to do a break in less then 30 days ago and they actually shot the person in the leg...
ajijic/Chapala has had their share of violence in the last 3 years...... its truly a shame that local government cant police their small town and protect not only the local community but the nob people that come to that town to enjoy the weather/etc....

One forum deletes any bad news, the others do not and there ae plenty of talks around town to warn anyone.

This case looks like a mixture of robbery gone bad or /and vengeance. These things happen anywhere
and are always very sad.
Very different from the people going around to "vacinate" people and rob them, which was the case of he victim who got shot in the leg...big difference between the two crimes.

There are plenty of crimes in any town even small town last week two people were set on fire in one of the communities around San Cristobal because they had hit a kid and broken his leg,,that does not make big news because it is in Chiapas and it is between indigenous but that was the 9th lynching in 6 months....

I can't find any posts with that username. Had she written anything regarding safety issues in her neighborhood?

Nina's contribution to MexConnect was to permit us to republish a short piece entitled The lady is a tramp" (part of the Agave Marias book). See http://www.mexconnect.com/...he-book-agave-marias
For some reason, her name does not appear in our index of authors; we're looking into this glitch and will fix it pronto!

Our thoughts are with their family and friends at this difficult time.
