travelling with Non-North American made vehicles in MX?

Hi all,

I read somewhere a while ago that you can't bring foreign (non-N American made) vehicles into MX.
Now I think that was for residency purposes, but can anyone tell me if it also extends to someone on a tourista visa?
I have a Honda Odyssey.

Tourist are not affected by the rule that says you cannot nationalize non-North American cars.
Tourists can drive in with any car. There are some restrictions on pickups and other trucks.

Rolly's posting is, as usual, right on target. However, do not assume that a "foreign" brand is made, say, in Japan. At least currently and for vehicles sold in North America (which of course includes Mexico), Honda Odysseys are produced in Alabama.
