Expat history in Mexico

I am a Ph.D. student in Mexican history at the University of Oklahoma. I am writing my dissertation on expat communities in Mexico, particularly in Mexico City, San Miguel, and Monterrey from the 1950s-1970s. Although I want to focus on these three cities, any relative information and other cities are welcome. Is anyone aware of expat societies or social clubs that I can contact that have archives or amateur historians? Since my research focuses on the mid-twentieth century, it might be difficult to find people still living in these areas, but I am casting a wide net trying to find sources, archives, photos, etc. I will be in San Miguel and Mexico City for two weeks in June researching. Please send me an e-mail at
