Where to find Kale????

Can't Post | Private Reply
Hello again!
Can anyone tell me where to find Kale?

I have been to Abastos mercado in GDL, chedraui, soriana and tiendas. I have even asked several tienda owners to look for me. I live in tlajomulco. I have also checked the Walmart on Periférico Sur, and no luck. So now I am expanding my desperate diet search to the Chapala area. Help???

Any ideas?

If it helps at all and just in case you don't know, the Spanish word for kale is berza. A vendor in the tianguis where I shop in Mexico City occasionally has it. Have you asked at the Asian vegetable stand at Guadalajara's Mercado de Abastos?

A woman at the Tuesday farmers market in Ajijic sells all kinds of gorgeous greens, including Kale. I think her name is Dina or Dana, or something like that. She's tall.

The Tuesday market is in West Ajijic, in La Huerta Eventos, on the carretera that connects Chapala with Jocotepec. Lake side of the road. I think the market opens at 10am, and probably closes some time around 2pm or so.
