Cable TV Options

Can't Post |
When we rented in San Antonio last year our place had Cable TV but only 6 - 8 English channels - no American networks. Is it possible to get an "upgrade" cable package from the local supplier, and if so - what would be the cost?

The cable company has no upgrade package. What you can do is to try and rent a home with C-Band or with Star Choice. Direct TV and Sky TV are also Spanish with some English stations. No networks.

Depending on how long you will be here you might want to consider getting Star Choice and then selling the equipment when you leave. A lot of people do this. If you are Canadian, then buy it up there, get the dish here and get it installed here. You will save some money that way and still be able to get a fair price for it when you leave. Used prices are about $350-$400.
