Thanks for taking the time to answer my previous questions:)

This board is priceless!

ok-I know that I can't bring in a used desktop without a Menage de Casa

What about a remanufatured one in a sealed box?

Does a computer have to be new in the box, never opened to be considered new?

Is a month-old computer considered used?

Is the tax always 25% on the newbies, is it ever higher?

The only definition of "new" that I have seen was a post quoting an Aduana as saying not more than 3 weeks from purchase date as shown on the sales slip. I don't know that sealed in the box would matter. But I wouldn't want to take a computer far from the store until I had run it for a while to be use there were no infant mortality problems. There is also a US$4000 limit on the value.

I am unsure about the duty on new computers. I tihink it is 25%, but I have seen at least one post claiming 40%.
