Noe's Tours has a trip coming up from Dec. 16 through 19 to Colima. http://noestours.webs.com/colima-dec-16-to-19

$4,500 pesos based on double occupancy. Which includes:

First class bus transportation - soft drinks and sandwiches,
Three nights at a fror star hotel, including breakfast at Hotel Ceballos- http://www.hotelceballos.com/
Many tours including Hacienda San Antonio, and lunch at the hacienda,
One day at Manzanillo Beach, turtley hatchery, and boat ride.

Colima is only a 3 hour ride from Ajijic and is one of the most magical cities I've visited in Mexico.

Hope they go to Comala, which is a Pueblo Magico....it's just 7 km from Colima! They might pass through it on the way to San Antonio....there is also ex-Hacienda Nogueras....lots of history in the area. I'm sure anyone who takes this tour will really learn a lot and enjoy themselves! Don't forget to try the ponche and incredibly good coffee too.

Yes the trip goes to Comala, that is where the Hacienda is located. It's the former home of Alajandeo Rangel and has a restaurant and his home is a museum. There are lots of examples of his furniture and art as well as one of the best collections of pottery found in the shaft tombs of the area.

I didn't realize there were many NOBs living in Comala. Lovely town - one of my favorite trips in Mexico!

There aren't many foreigners there & they/we don't/didn't run in a pack.....everyone there seemed to want to integrate into the local living as naturally as possible....most very ecologically inclined too. Many, many wonderful people!
However, we WERE surprised at the amount of English spoken....lots of the locals had lived NOB & didn't want to lose their proficiency. Funny to hear the locals speaking English to you & you trying to speak Spanish back to them!

If you are facinated with the "Colima dogs" , as I am, the hacienda has the best collection around.

I made the visit just to see the collection and learn a bit more about the history.

You have one or two more days to make reservations for the trip to Colima before they make a payment to the hotel and secure the rooms. You can contact them at noeraygoza@hotmail.com or elbalidia.vazquez@hotmail.com

I just paid for my reservation - can't wait!
