BC man missing in Barra de Navidad

Ron Lloyd Mackintosh. Last seen Sunday, October 21 around 5:15/5:30 PM on Calle Gomez Farias in Melaque where he dropped off a friend. He was on his way home to Barra de Navidad. He drives a black 2008 Jeep Patriot, License plate# 506CNT (British Columbia). He never arrived home. His live in girl friend reported him missing to the police Monday. He had his dog with him and his cell phone. The Canadian Consulate has been notified. Friends have checked hospitals, jails, etc. No clothes or luggage missing, no bank account activity.

Edited by Rolly to make the pictures work.

I was just asked to post that Ron's body was found. It appears that he was the victim of a robbery. The police have three in custody.

I worked with Ron on Vancouver Island, and was very saddened to hear the news. My prayers and condolences go out to Marie and his other friends there.

Before his retirement to Mexico, he lived in the Comox Valley and worked in the central Vancouver Island area.

there's been a lot of speculation. Maybe the most recent GDL Reporter posting has it right...

Have there been any further developments in this case? Any arrests? Any motive?
