Road conditions - Laredo-Mazatlan

Can't Post |
We are driving down from Canada in January. Best route to Mazatlan seems to cross at Laredo to Monterey, then along 40. Will be in a Camper Van and have little idea of road conditions, mountain pass's etc. Regular road v Toll road.Any help would be appreciated.

There is no problem with this route, the 1st of this month we pulled our 22 foot trailer with a 3/4 ton van on this route, this was the 3rd time we have pulled the trailer from Laredo to Mazatlan on this route. the last 185 miles from durango to Mazatlan is the slowest part. There are toll roads and free roads from laredo to durango i use the toll road because it is 4 lane and faster.Durango to mazatlan is winding mountain road 2 lane paved in good condition. If you want more specific info, camp grounds etc email krj1
