speaking of beaches in chapala

sunday august 19 there will be a volleyball tournament on the beach at the west end of the malecon in front of king kongs thong. if you want to register to enter, be there at 9am. the teams have to have 2 males and 2 females but one team i know will have 6 -2 as alternates[wosies!]
this is very exciting because 2 years ago the posts were disappeared[SNORK!] and it took octavio mendoza [chapala director of tourism] and i that long to get them replaced. he and i are retiring when the new government takes over october 1.
our team is made up of moi,will,elaine and gail,all fine athleticals without resorting to alternates. come and cheer for us-eh!

we played all the games and never gave up even though a coupla us was old enough ta be grandparents[maybe even great grandparents-SNORK!] to most of the opposition. we done 5 sets of 2x21. the last game was our closest against some 20 somethings. 21to 13. we hit double digits in 3 games. not bad for a team of recreational players that was put together saturday and had the two oldest players there. i'm 69. the oldest opposition player was 59. the other gringo team called a time out because we had a run of points and scared 'em-jeje! they came in fourth i think only 2 ahead of us.

now that we got our first experience,maybe next time we'll practice to be perfect-jaja! and SNORK!
