I've got a car, a Guia Roji and a GPS - where can we go for an interesting day trip? Any help would be appreciated.

Get Tony Burton's book on travel in western Mexico..........a great book to have in your library even if you don't live in Mexico!!
You will be entertained for a long time using it as a guide. Lots to see in your area alone....
Happy trails!!

Tapalpa and Mazamitla or both picturesque towns in the mountains, each about an hour and a half away by car. They're similar and different, our preference is Tapalpa, but lots of folks love Mazamitla. Google for more info on either. Or, you could also do a whole loop around the lake in a good long day, with stops along the way.

There are lots of other places easily reached, depending upon what interests you. You can even get to Tequila in about an hour and a half if you're willing to drive through Guadalajara.

It's a great time of year for a road trip with everything so green and lush. Have fun.

Thanks, y'all - I think we'll do the drive around.
