Bars with Shaw Sports -- a detached thread

Thank you. I may just take you up on that. Anyone who uses an Edmonton Oilers avatar is OK in my book! Forever a Ranger supporter, moved to Fliers-town and The Spectrum for 15 years, but lately been following the Caps. Hey, is there bar/pub at Lakeside where we can watch the Cup next year? Nothing like watching the Cup with cold beer and great nachos (did it in PV two years running!)

There are many bars and restaurants in the area that have the Canadian Shaw Satellite sports packages so you can catch all the NHL action year round.

actually there aren't that many bars with shaw for hockey but thomas' in chapala is owned by canadians and they have it. the bar is for sale though.

The bars in Ajijic (and surrounding areas) that currently have Shaw Sports are:

Tom's
Salt n Pepper
The Score
El Bar Co
Johnny's Mama
Melanies (the new location)

......and a few others but the names elude me.

thomas' has 2 floors and seperate tv's on each,leaving a choice. the question was shaw for NHL hockey.
from what i have seen from the sports patrons here,hockey watching will be trumped by NASCAR, basketball,american football including college.
when did johnny's mamma's bar and tom's install shaw?.
yes melanie's has always had it since the owners are canadians.
in any event, the above list,if in fact they all have shaw, does not make a plethora of hockey availability in public places. the american legion in chapala has shaw but you will seldom see hockey on it there either. those people that have shaw at home get to watch all the hockey and cfl football they wish.

I apologize hijacking this thread with a discussion on hockey viewing, so to get back to the topic:

Is is possible to buy a seminuevo car from a dealer (not privado) without having an FM3 (whatever the new name is)? Can it be bought with an FMM and proof of residence and an USA/Canadian passport?

Pedro, you are truly entertaining. When Canuck Bob mentioned there were quite a few bars, etc that have Shaw Direct Lakeside where you could watch Hockey; you answered that that this wasn’t true and listed the one place you knew about that has Shaw, and that the place is for sale.

I knew that to be false and thanked Bob for the list. Apparently he was wrong about one or two of the places. I know where some other places are that he didn't mention, that have Shaw but I didn't correct him, rather I thanked him for his informatiom.

It’s no big deal, we all makes mistakes, Pedro. Sadly some make more mistakes than others. :)

Please keep on posting Pedro. I greatly enjoy answering your posts, which I shall always do NOW in a polite and joking manner
