Hi Simpsca,

Have you found your dog a new home yet? Maybe posting a little more information such as good with other dogs, cats(?), children(?) house broken, car/travel , travels well, in good health, size of the dog, scared of fireworks or not, other medical and inoculation history, needs a big / small yard, would help, etc. You’re asking for a good home and you really need to provide more good information for someone to make an informed decision. A photo on here would also really help. Just a thought. Good luck.

Sorry if I was not clear. It's not my dog. She posted on a chat group I belong to with limited access, so I posted this on other groups. Just too many dogs being given up by their owners because they are going NOB or have health problems. Very distressing to me.

Hello Simpsca,

Yes, it is distressing for sure. I really do understand in cases where there is an imminent need to relocate a pet, but I fail to understand why people with pets that have of their own free will have taken on a pet and then place no real effort in finding a god home for their four legged friend. I have rescued Labradors, Rottweiler’s and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers for years. I have enjoyed my time with my dogs and have always found good homes to fit the pet. It only takes a little work to include all possible information about a dog or cat to find that pet a good matched home. It makes me a little miffed as well to see the lack of care when having a pet becomes "inconvenient", or the last one thought about.

If you wish to pass along my questions to the original poster who is trying to find a good "forever home" for their dog, then you certainly have my permission to reprint my original response to you from this site. I might be interested in providing a home for this pet, if I had some more solid information about the pet.

A little credit goes to the original poster for trying, weakly trying, but at least trying a little at the last moment to find a home for her companion.

I know that you really do care, as I have seen many of your postings in many previous years. Keep up the good work.

Regards,
