Hi again, Alicia I don't have any exact information about camping along the route you are talking about, but I don't think you will go too far wrong if you do something like this: Don't wait until the last moment before you need a place to camp. Talk to some local people--there are all kinds of ways to do this, like having a soda at a little store in a small town, or a cup of coffee in a small town restaurant. Pick out somebody who seems friendly, like the owner, or someone else having a coke or coffee; or stop at a ranchito where you see someone working. Or find someone near where you want to camp who has a tool in his or her hand and talk to that person. Do some of that normal stroking you do in conversation: talk about the weather or the food or the road or how pretty the area is, and this will lead to other stuff, and then you ask "No hay por aqui un lugar bonito donde pondemos acampar?" Expect to pay a little something: "Podemos cooperar con algo." Most people in small towns will know of situations that will work if you are willing to pay the landowner a little something. They may even know where you can camp for free.
