Periodontist Wanted (A Real One)

My husband and I are becoming increasingly concerned as we have twice returned to the US for a visit to our former dentist for a review of our work done in Mexico and received bad news. Our original dentist in PV missed an issue completely that cost my husband his tooth and a $1000 last summer while traveling NOB. This year after seeing 2 dentist in PV, (one a professed Periodontist) both gave him a clean bill of health, he had it double checked NOB and has been informed that he has serious issues with him gums, measuring 10 that requires $2500 of surgery under general anethesia, that's after the $700 scaling. This tips our budget off the scale. We both wonder if the requirements for dental school are equal in Mexico? We are hoping to find a "Real" and good periodontist and are pretty much willing to travel anywhere to find one given these US prices, we can afford to.
