Baja Ferries

Has anyone taken one of the ferries from the mainland (either from Los Moches or Mazatlan) over to La Paz (or vise versa) lately with your car? If so, would you share your general experience.... on-time, good trip, food, seats, etc etc.

thanks

Disclaimer - 2nd hand info.
A friend of mine recently went from Mazatlan - La Paz and return.
She said it was pretty much on time, the sea was fairly calm, the cabin they had was adequate.
Her advice - bring food and drinks as the food sales area is only open certain times and they missed it one time.
Get a cabin, or you may be sleeping on the floor.
Also, once you are on the ferry, you don't have access to your vehicle.
Her husband drove the car onto the ferry after waiting in the line. She told me she had to board on foot, they both could not ride in the car. She was worried that if for some reason he didn't get on the ferry, she wouldn't know what to do.
The enjoyed the freedom of having the car in the Baja, but said she didn't think they would do it again. Too many other adventures!
